Mohammed bin Abdullah: Bahrain Among the First Countries in Combating Non-Communicable Diseases
During the opening of the sixth edition of the Bahrain Diabetes and Endocrine Conference, Lieutenant General Dr. Shaikh Mohammed bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, Chairman of the Supreme Council for Health, emphasized that Bahrain is among the first countries to combat non-communicable diseases. The conference focuses on advanced methods for addressing diabetes and endocrine disorders, including innovative treatments and preventive measures.
The conference will feature 24 sessions with participation from academics, students, and healthcare professionals from Bahrain, the Gulf region, and various international institutions. The event includes discussions on the latest technological advancements in diagnosing and treating diabetes and endocrine disorders. Additionally, there will be a review of public health initiatives in early diagnosis, community health awareness, and cooperation between public and private sectors to improve healthcare services.
Dr. Wiam Hussein highlighted that the conference promotes collaboration between local and international experts, encouraging the adoption of advanced treatment methods and expanding healthcare services to better address the growing health challenges. The event also features an exhibition showcasing the latest medical innovations and technologies.
